Cam L. Garner
Chairman

With more than 30 years of diverse experience in the healthcare industry, ranging from diagnostics and devices to pharmaceuticals, Mr. Garner has been involved in the creation, development or management of a number of healthcare companies. He was part of the senior management team that built Hybritech, Inc., and Chairman and CEO of Dura Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which grew from a $2 million to a $300 million revenue generating company. Dura was sold in November of 2000 to Elan Corporation, plc for $1.8 billion. In 1998, he founded and served as Chairman of DJ Pharma, which was sold to Biovail in 2000 for over $200 million. In 2001, he founded and served as Chairman of Xcel Pharmaceuticals, which was sold to Valeant in 2005 for $280 million.

Mr. Garner recently formed specialty pharmaceutical companies Verus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Zogenix, Inc. He serves as Chairman of Verus, Cadence and Zogenix. In addition, he serves on the boards of numerous companies, including: Favrille, Inc. (NASDAQ: FVRL); Pharmion Corporation (NASDAQ: PHRM); Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOMX); SkinMedica, Inc.; and Aegis Therapeutics, LLC; as well as the boards of several charitable organizations.

Mr. Garner earned his M.B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio, and received his B.A. in Biology from Virginia Wesleyan College.
